Awareness-raising
Awareness-raising is key to change people behaviours because it pictures chemicals of concern as highly visible issues. When stakeholders are aware of the effects caused by chemicals, they are more inclined to act towards their safe management, to promote actions and to enhance efforts to prevent their impact on health and the environment.
An awareness-raising campaigns on chemicals of concern can target a broad audience, from the general public to make them aware of the health and environmental impact, to government ministries by sharing with them specific types of information needed by decision-makers and professional staff.
